What is a Christian Counselor or Christian Therapist? |
| Well, Christian Counselors and Christian Therapist are formally trained professional counselors who are skilled in providing counseling care, yet have an understanding of the Holy Scripture. How long does it take to get counseled? |
The length of time a client is in counseling depends on the nature of the problem and the goals in which the client (along with the counselor) set to achieve. Everyone is different and unique in his/her own way, therefore; the amount of time necessary for care varies. However, it is highly recommended that you (at a minimum) work with the counselor for at least two months to build a rapport and work together on the issues in order to attain maximum results.
Most clients are seen once or twice a week in the beginning of their counseling care, and then as time goes on, the session (if appropriate and/or applicable) are less frequent. Everything depends on the client’s current state and how much emotional support he/ she needs during counseling sessions. |

Do I need to take medication? |
| Not all individuals take medication due to their emotional struggles, but in the event that the counselor find that medication may be appropriate, the counselor will discuss this with you and assist you in making the necessary referral to a psychiatrist that is in your local area. The psychiatrist is the one who would officially determine if medication is warranted and prescribe what is necessary for you. |

What is the difference between On-Line counseling and In-Office counseling sessions? |
The main difference between On-Line counseling and In-Office counseling is the method of communication. Through the On-Line counseling concept you are able to see your counselor face to face through a webcam, chat with your counselor live via live chat, communicate through a secured telephone call within the system, or do all three at the same time. Whatever method is most comfortable for you. The On-Line component gives you the option to select any method of communication with your counselor via the computer
In-Office sessions are currently conducted in our office in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We see clients in a private office setting, and adolescents are seen in their home. |

Why is there a price difference between On-Line sessions and In-Office sessions? |
| The reason that there is a price difference between the On-Line session and the In-Office session is due to the increase in cost to provide the service for the On-Line component. The In-Office client does not utilize the On-Line service, so we do not think that it would be appropriate to make them pay for it. However, we have taken into great consideration on making sure that the On-Line session rates are low and affordable. |
